Since Beijing successfully bid for the Winter Olympic Games in July 2015, Taishan has taken the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games as an important development opportunity and set up a R&D winter sports team. So far Taishan has designed and developed large-data skiing simulators, self-lubricating polymer simulated ice rinks, movable ski jump facilities, protective dasher boards, carbon fiber snow bicycles and skateboards, ski poles and so on. The above series products can break the climate and geographical constraints, and meet the needs of teaching, training and sports in all seasons with good simulation and high security.
Taishan Group, together with Shandong Sport University and Hebei Sport University, has reached strategic university-enterprise cooperation in order to promote ice and snow sports into campuses and help train winter sports talents. On December 9, 2018, the "Air Film + Simulated Ice" Ice hockey Hall constructed by Taishan for Hebei Sport University passed relavant acceptance and has been put into use since then. The ice rink in the hall adopts Taishan’s self-lubricating simulated ice surface, and can meet the needs of comprehensive teaching and training for ice hockey, speed skating and other ice sports.
Taishan's winter sports project including equipment and winter sports clubs has been officially listed as a key project by Shandong Provincial Government. Taishan people will fully serve the Beijing Winter Olympics and promote the development of winter sports in China.
